The cutting thickness of CNC laser cutting machine is according to the material and the power of laser cutting machine.

1KW CNC laser cutting machine can cut 9mm thickness carbon steel. 1.5 KW laser cutting machine can cut 19mm thickness carbon steel.

2.5KW CNC laser cutting machine can cut 15mm stainless steel. For thicker stainless steel, we need 3KW laser cutting machine.

For carbon steel below 10mm, we can choose fiber laser cutting machine below 1000W. It is because laser cutting machine cutting width is narrow , generally between 0.1mm to 0.5mm. CNC laser cutting machine cutting precision is very high, less than 0.05mm.The hole center distance error is between 0.1mm to 0.4mm. Laser cutting machine cutting section is very smooth.

Carbon steel between 10mm to 20mm, we can choose 2000W to 6000W fiber laser cutting machine. Or 2000W CO2 laser cutting machine.

For thickness above 20mm carbon steel, we choose CNC plasma cutting machine is more economical .
